LA CROSSE, Wis. - The Milwaukee women's track & field team competed on Saturday afternoon, making the trip to La Crosse for the Mark Guthrie Legacy Invite.

Picking up the first win of the day for the Milwaukee was
Anelise Egge, posting a time of 2:13.86 in the 800m run.

"Anelise continues put together strong showings ... today she had a strong result in the 800m," said head coach
Andrew Basler.

Victoria Evtimov had her own win in the 200m dash at 25.38, while
Anna Szepieniec earned a third-place result with a time of 25.57.

Later on, Szepieniec set a new career-best mark in the 60m hurdles, and also moved into a tie for fifth on the program's indoor leaderboard. Szepieniec continued in the long jump where she reached 5.82m wrap up another podium finish.

"Anna continues to show her strengths," Basler added. "She had a personal best in the hurdles, and competed well in both the long jump and 200m ... she's putting together a great sophomore campaign."

Adding to the team's win column,
Olivia VanZeeland earned the top result in the high jump by clearing 1.65m.

In the pole vault,
Hailey Soriaga and
Isabel Roloff both cleared 3.64m, with Soriaga picking up a second-place finish in tiebreakers.

"Both Hailey and Isabel put together great days for us in the pole vault," Basler concluded.

In distance events,
Ally Schmitz led Milwaukee in the mile with a time of 5:15.56 to take second place in the event.

Olivia Busch was the team's top performer in the triple jump, reaching a third-place result of 11.37m.
