MILWAUKEE – Head coach
Kyle Rechlicz has announced the addition of
Nataya Donaldson to the Milwaukee women's basketball team beginning in the 2026-27 season.
Donaldson is a guard from Beaver Dam High School, where she enters her senior season with the Golden Beavers this winter. She has already put together three successful varsity campaigns, helping the team to 59 wins, including a WIAA Regional Championship and Sectional Finals Appearance in 2024.
"We have been recruiting Nataya since she was in middle school," commented Rechlicz. "She is as dynamic as a person as she is as a player. She is a strong wing who is a force to be reckoned with in the paint."
No stranger to the program, Donaldson is the younger sister of
Jada Donaldson, a five-year member of the Panthers from 2020-25. Jada is the Milwaukee's all-time leader in assist/turnover ratio at 1.80 and also owns the single-season mark at 2.50 in 2023-24. She played in the second-most games in program history (135), scoring 508 points in her career.
"Taya is an aggressive attack player who can outrebound anyone, and much like her sister, is an elite defender," Rechlicz added. "We have known the Donaldson family for a long time, and we could not be adding a better person to our roster. Their family values align with our team culture very well. I think the fans are going to enjoy seeing another Donaldson in a Milwaukee jersey just as much as our team and staff."
At Beaver Dam, Nataya has been a two-time First Team All-Badger Conference honoree and an All-State Honorable Mention selection each of the past two seasons. She also earned Honorable Mention All-Conference recognition as a freshman.
This past year, she averaged 19.2 points and seven rebounds per game, while setting the school record for most points in a single season (500), as well as the single-season (138) and career (232) records for free throws made.
A three-sport athlete, she earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors with the volleyball team this fall and competes for the track & field team in the spring.
In the classroom, Nataya has earned back-to-back WBCA Academic All-State honors and has been a high honor roll student throughout her high school career.
She has played club basketball for both the Wisconsin Impact and the Wisconsin Playground Elite.
