MILWAUKEE- In a release from the league Tuesday, Milwaukee track & field's Caden Thomas has been announced as Horizon League Men's Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Thomas earned the award after an impressive performance in the high jump at Saturday's Tierney Classic. He cleared 2.05m in the event to take second place on the day, and tie for the 10^th-best jump in program history.
 
The award is the second of the season for Thomas, who also earned it back on Jan. 13 after his last competition. As a team, the Panthers have now been recognized with nine athlete of the week awards between the men and women, with seven different athletes taking home the honors.
 
Milwaukee will return this weekend when they travel to South Bend, Ind. for Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.
