Swim & Dive Returns to Host Green Bay for Senior Day

MILWAUKEE- The Milwaukee swim & dive team will return for its first meet of the spring portion of the season, when they host Green Bay for a dual meet at Klotsche Natatorium Saturday.
 
The meet will start with a recognition for senior day before beginning the competition at 1:00 p.m.
 
LAST TIME OUT
 
The last action the Panthers saw was at IU Indy's House of Champions Meet from Nov. 21-23. Milwaukee set three new school records and two freshman records in an impressive weekend. The men finished the weekend seventh out of 11 teams while the women took fifth out of 13.
 
Caleb Carlisle had one of the top performances at the event setting the school's 200 butterfly record at 1:47.34, and the freshman 100 butterfly record at 48.14. Gunnar Seversen had a freshman record as well in the 500 freestyle at 4:29.32.
 
Two relay teams set school records at the meet as well, starting with the 200 freestyle relay squad of Charlie House, Caleb Carlisle, Jackson Ahrens, and Ben Lorenz finishing with a time of 1:19.88. Milwaukee also got a record from the 200 medley relay of Victor Kostov, Andrew Jones, Caleb Carlisle, and Ben Lorenz touched the wall in 1:28.74.
 
Gabrielle LePine was the big standout for the women on the weekend, starting with the 50 breaststroke, claiming the top spot with a time of 28.34. She followed that up in the 100 breaststroke, finishing in just 1:01.94 to take home another win on the day.
 
SCOUTING GREEN BAY
 
The Panthers will enter Saturday having won 12 of the last 13 matchups against Green Bay and four in a row on the women's side. For the men, they hold a 11-4 record against the Phoenix since 2010, winning the last three meetings.
 
Green Bay enters the season 4-3 on both the men's and women's side in dual meets this season. Its last competition came at the St. Thomas invite Nov. 21-23 where the Phoenix finished in fourth place in the four-team event.
 
UP NEXT
 
The Panthers will have their final dual meet of the season Friday, Jan. 31 when they travel to Stevens Point for a 5:00 p.m. meet.
