MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee men's basketball program will open the 2024-25 conference season the first week of December, welcoming Cleveland State to UWM Panther Arena Dec. 5.
 
The team then heads to battle Green Bay Dec. 11 to close out the two-game start to conference action before dipping back into non-league play.
 
The team also wraps up the regular season with four of the final six contests at home to close out the campaign in February and into March, according to the Horizon League schedule released today by the league office.
 
Milwaukee closes out the 2024 portion of the calendar at home, hosting IU Indianapolis Dec. 29.
 
The New Year kicks off with a three-game road swing, starting with a visit to Oakland Jan. 2. The Golden Grizzlies are coming off a 24-12 season that saw them become one of the biggest stories of the NCAA Tournament with its run after claiming the Horizon League Tournament Championship over the Panthers.
 
That road trip continues with stops at Detroit Mercy Jan. 4, followed by Purdue Fort Wayne Jan. 8. The Mastodons are coming off a 23-13 campaign a season ago.
 
Three games at home dot the schedule next, with the Panthers hosting the Phoenix Jan. 11, Youngstown State Jan. 17, and Robert Morris Jan. 19. Green Bay enjoyed a resurgent 18-14 season last winter before the Panthers eliminated them in the Horizon League Tournament, while YSU went 22-10 overall.
 
The month of January closes with away games at Wright State (18-14 last season) Jan. 22 and Northern Kentucky (18-15) Jan. 24.
 
February tips off at home, welcoming Purdue Fort Wayne Feb. 2.
 
Road trips to IU Indy Feb. 5 and Cleveland State Feb. 8 follow, back at home to host WSU Feb. 14 and NKU Feb. 16.
 
The final road trip sees the Panthers visit YSU Feb. 21 and RMU Feb. 23, before closing out the regular season at home.
 
The final two contest of the campaign sees Milwaukee welcome Oakland Feb. 27 and Detroit Mercy March 1, closing out the slate at UWM Panther Arena.
