MILWAUKEE – Danilo Jovanovich of Milwaukee, Wis., TJ Robinson of Montclair, N.J., and Jamichael Stillwell of Atlanta, Ga., have all signed with the Milwaukee men's basketball program and will compete for the Panthers in the upcoming 2024-25 season, head coach
Bart Lundy announced today.
Jovanovich is a graduate of nearby Whitnall High School who played this past season at Louisville; Robinson is a highly-ranked member of the Class of 2024 at Immaculate Conception High School in New Jersey; and Stillwell is a transfer from Butler County Community College in El Dorado, Kansas.
"Many Panther fans will remember Danilo from his days at Whitnall High School," Lundy said. "A runner-up for Wisconsin 'Mr. Basketball' his senior season, he will be a fan favorite. He is a highly skilled and versatile wing who brings a great basketball IQ to the team. Danilo has now found a home here where he can thrive and become the player he is capable of becoming."
Jovanovich, a 6-foot-8 forward, spent this past winter playing for the Cardinals, appearing in 20 games while making five starts despite missing some time due to injury. He averaged 1.2 points and 1.1 rebounds per game in 8.3 minutes. That followed his freshman campaign at Miami, appearing in one contest for a team that made the Final Four before redshirting. He held numerous NCAA Division I offers including DePaul, Illinois, UIC, Penn State, USC and Wake Forest.
Jovanovich put together a brilliant prep career locally, finishing as the runner-up for Mr. Basketball in Wisconsin as a senior at Whitnall in 2022. Labeled a four-star recruit by ESPN and a three-star player by 247Sports and Rivals, he was considered the third-best prospect in Wisconsin by 247Sports and fifth-best by ESPN. The McDonald's All-American Game nominee was a two-time unanimous conference player of the year and capped his career with
Associated Press First Team All-State accolades after averaging 29.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. He led the team to a 21-4 record, including a perfect 12-0 mark in league play. That followed a junior campaign in which he averaged 23.0 points and 8.0 rebounds a contest and a sophomore season in which he was named first-team all-league after scoring 21.0 ppg.
Robinson, a 6-foot-4 point guard, is a highly-ranked four-star recruit that held offers from Louisville, LSU, Georgetown, Kansas State, Temple, and others. He missed much of his senior season this winter recovering from a knee injury, but did return in time to record a 30-point game in the postseason.
"TJ is a highly-touted point guard with lots of experience against elite level players," Lundy said. "He gives us speed, shooting, and elite playmaking skills. TJ is a real worker who loves the gym and fits perfectly in our culture."
Ranked as the No. 25 point guard and the No. 214 overall prospect in the Class of 2024 by
247Sports Composite, Robinson contributed 21.0 points, 2.0 assists and 1.9 rebounds per game as a junior at Immaculate Conception. He reached double-figures in all but one game and dropped a 50-point outing against Dwight-Englewood, N.J., in December.
Stillwell, a 6-foot-8 forward, averaged 12.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in 27 games this past season for the Grizzlies, posting a dozen double-doubles helped along by 14 games of double-digit rebounds – including a high of 20 boards in a 16 point/20 rebound effort against State Fair CC in November.
"Jamichael is a perfect fit for the city of Milwaukee," Lundy said. "He is a tough, hardworking player who isn't afraid to do the dirty work needed to win. He is an elite rebounder and a far-underrated offensive player. His versatility on both ends of the floor separates him from many other players. At one point last February before an illness, he was averaging almost 14 rebounds per game. Rebounding always translates and he will add grit to our team."
He played his freshman season at Miami-Dade Community College, averaging 13.9 points and 8.4 rebounds in 29 games. He was picked for a spot on the All-Southern Conference First-Team, to the D1 FCSAA/NJCAA Region VIII All-Tournament Team, and to JUCOrecruiting.com's Fab 50 Juco Freshman List.
Stillwell graduated from Elevation Prep in Fort Wayne, Ind., in 2022, where he averaged 24 points and 11 rebounds a game as a senior.
