Anelise Egge and
Cailin Kinas found themselves back in the top ten for the Panthers at the Blugold Invite on Friday, placing 8
th and 10
th out of more than 240 competitors in the 6K race, respectively. As a team, Milwaukee finished 4
th out of 25.
Egge recorded a season-best time of 22:39.30, while Kinas crossed the line in 22:42.70. Also in the top 25 overall finishers was
Rachel Helm, who recorded a 23
rd place finish with a season-best time of 23:19.90.
Anna Gallagher rounded out the top four for Milwaukee with a 37
th place finish.
"We were very happy with how the women stayed in the race mentally," head coach
Andrew Basler said. "They stayed engaged and ran what they were capable of. We're really looking forward to Bradley, that penultimate meet before the league championships."
The Panthers' final race before the Horizon League Championships comes October 13, when they travel to Peoria, Illinois for the Bradley Pink Classic.
