Cullen Boyle crossed the finish line in 16
th place out of more than 250 runners at the Blugold Invite on Friday, pacing the Panthers to a 4
th place team finish. Milwaukee was behind Whitewater, St. Olaf, and La Crosse in the field of 30 different programs.
Boyle finished the 8K race with a time of 25:34.50, followed closely behind by
Bryce Tome, who finished in 21
st with a time of 25:41.60.
Aidan Sodemann and
Carter Eckhoff were next to finish for Milwaukee, crossing the line in 31
st and 41
st, respectively.
"It was our most challenging course of the season so far," head coach
Andrew Basler said. "We were expecting more from today, and we're looking to do a better job of coming together next meet at Bradley, which we've done in the past."
The Panthers' final race before the Horizon League Championships comes October 13, when they travel to Peoria, Illinois for the Bradley Pink Classic.
