MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee men's and women's cross country teams will travel tomorrow to Colfax, Wisconsin, to participate in the Blugold Invitational hosted by Eau Claire. The women's 6K and men's 8K will be held at Whitetail Golf Course.
Following the men's and women's open races at 3:00 and 3:45, the men's and women's varsity races will begin at 4:30 and 5:15 respectively. Live results will be available throughout the race at this

LAST TIME OUT
MEN - The Milwaukee men's cross country team placed sixth out of ten teams Saturday at the Pioneer Gender Equity Invite hosted by Platteville.
"Today's race was more about individual opportunity than team success," head coach
Andrew Basler said. "We had a lot of good steps forward for the younger guys that raced today."
A pair of freshmen led the way for the Panthers on the course today.
Lucas Picco finished the 8K race in 12
th place with a career best time of 26:25.2, while
Aidan Sosnowski finished 17
th with his own career best time of 26:46.9. Rounding out the top three for Milwaukee,
Trey Meier finished 77
th with a career best time of 28:40.8.
"It was a great step in the right direction for the young guys," associate head coach
Jake Reilly commented. "It was good for them to get a few 8Ks under their legs and really figure out how to run a full race."
WOMEN -
Aubrey Anderson led the way for the Milwaukee women's cross country team today at the Pioneer Gender Equity Invite hosted by Platteville.
Milwaukee elected to send just three runners to the race, meaning they did not qualify for a team score, but all three Panthers finished in the top fifty percent of the field.
"We had a lot of steps in the right direction today," associate head coach
Jake Reilly said. "We had good results and positive attitudes, which we need when getting focused for the conference championships coming up."
Anderson finished in 13
th with a time of 24:28.0 in the 6K. Following close behind her in 15
th was
Sara Jochims with a time of 24:53.2.
Grace Kline finished with a time of 26:21.8, good enough for 41
st overall.
"(Anderson) ran extremely confident today," head coach
Andrew Basler said. "The younger girls ran well too, and I think we'll have a good idea of where we're at for conference after next meet."
PANTHERS SWEEP WEEKLY AWARDS
Lucas Picco,
Aubrey Anderson, and
Grace Kline were all recognized by the Horizon League for their performances last week at the Pioneer Gender Equity Invite. Picco was named the Male Runner and Freshman of the Week, Anderson was named the Female Runner of the Week, and Kline was named the Female Freshman of the Week.
Picco paced the Panthers in the 8K race at the Pioneer Gender Equity Invite, crossing the finish line in 12th place out of 160 racers. His time of 26:25.2 marked a new career-best for the freshman. Picco was the second first-year to cross the finish line in Cuba City.
Anderson led the way for the Panthers at the Pioneer Gender Equity Invite on Saturday, finishing 13th in a field of 109, and crossing the finish line with a season-best time of 24:28.0 in the 8K race. Anderson was just under nine seconds shy of a new career-best, and eleven seconds out of the top ten.
Kline receives the award after a 41st place finish in a field of 109 at the Pioneer Gender Equity Invite. The rookie crossed the 6K finish line with a time of 26:21.8, the second-best time of her career.
