TERRE HAUTE – The Milwaukee women's cross country team finished in the 11
th spot out of 18 teams today at the John McNichols Invitational hosted by Indiana State.
The Panthers finished with 296 team points, just behind 10
th place Bellarmine's 287.
"We finished much better than we did last year at this meet," head coach
Andrew Basler said. "It was definitely a deeper field than we've had so far this year, so I thought we made some good steps forward as a program."
Anelise Egge led Milwaukee with a 28
th place finish and a career-best time of 18:19.5.
Cailin Kinas was next, securing the 46
th spot with a time of 18:41.9.
Eileen Tocco rounded out Milwaukee's top three, finishing in 69
th with her own career-best time of 19:01.3.
The next race for Milwaukee comes September 23 in Platteville, Wisconsin. Platteville will host the Pioneer Gender Equity Invite.
