MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee men's basketball program will open the 2023-24 conference season the first week of December, playing at Green Bay to open the slate December 2.
 
The first conference game at UWM Panther Arena will come as part of a two-game homestand to close out the calendar portion of 2023 (December 29 and 31).
 
The team also wraps up the regular season with four of the final five contests at home to close out the campaign in February and into March, according to the Horizon League schedule released today by the league office.

Second-year head coach Bart Lundy will get conference play underway with the short trip up to Green Bay to open December. The holiday/semester break from league play occurs next, with a pause in conference action before hosting Robert Morris Dec. 29 and Wright State Dec. 31.
 
The New Year opens with a road trip to Michigan, taking on Oakland Jan. 4, followed by Detroit Mercy Jan. 6.
 
The team will make a pit stop at home Jan. 12 to host a Cleveland State team that finished tied for second last winter at 14-6 in league play.
 
Next, it's off to battle Northern Kentucky on the road Jan. 18, taking on a Norse squad that also tied for second at 14-6 before claiming the 2023 Horizon League Tournament Championship and advancing to the NCAA Tournament.
 
The road trip extends with a second game against WSU, stopping in Dayton Jan. 20 before returning home to host Detroit Mercy Jan. 25 and Oakland to close out the month on Jan. 27.
 
February arrives with a drive to Indiana to take on Purdue Fort Wayne Feb. 1, returning home to welcome IUPUI downtown Feb. 4.
 
The longest road trip of the season arrives next, traveling to take on regular-season champion Youngstown State (15-5 a year ago) Feb. 8, followed by Robert Morris Feb. 10 and back against CSU Feb. 14.
 
The stretch run at home sees the Panthers welcome back the Norse Feb. 17, followed by a rematch with the Penguins Feb. 23.
 
The Mastodons visit Milwaukee Feb. 25, with the final road trip of the regular-season slate set for Feb. 28 at IUPUI.
 
The league regular-season slate then concludes at home, with Green Bay book-ending the start and conclusion of the campaign at UWM Panther Arena March 2.
