Lundy Adds Faizon Fields To Milwaukee MBB Roster

Team adds height and experience to roster

May 19, 2023

MILWAUKEE – Faizon Fields of Memphis, Tenn., has signed to play for the Milwaukee men's basketball team, head coach Bart Lundy officially announced today.

A 6-foot, 10-inch, 220-pound forward, Fields transfers into the MKE program following a season at Old Dominion, where he appeared in all 31 games for the team and averaged 4.8 points and 4.1 rebounds per contest.

"We are excited about the addition of Faizon," Lundy said. "He gives us a versatile big who plays both sides of the ball and is excellent on the glass. He has an amazing personality and will win over our fans with his play and his charisma. Faizon is a good player now, but his ceiling is at the highest levels!"

Fields was one of just two Monarchs to play in every game on the season, shooting a team-high 55.1 percent from the floor (54-of-98) while averaging close to a block per contest (24 total). He put together season-highs in points (12) and rebounds (8) against Georgia Southern in February and finished with five games of double-figure scoring as well as a four-block outing against the College of Charleston in late November.

He played at Chipola College in Mariana, Florida, as a freshman, helping the team to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I National semifinals and a 30-6 overall record after contributing 9.6 points and 8.7 rebounds per contest, shooting an impressive 70 percent (133-of-190) from the floor on the season. Faizon was named to the All-Panhandle Team and had a season high of 23 points and hauled in 20 rebounds in a game on a pair of occasions.
