Tome Adds to the Record Books Once Again at NCAA Regional Meet

November 10, 2023

MADISON – For the second meet in a row, Bryce Tome added to the Milwaukee record books with a top-five all-time performance, this time at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional meet in Madison.

Tome was Milwaukee's top finisher on the day, recording a 10K time of 31:30.8, good enough for 85th place and the fourth-best Panther performance of all time. The 10K was the first of Tome's career at Milwaukee.

"Bryce has just been tearing up his fifth year and really coming into his own," head coach Andrew Basler commented. "I thought the men closed out strong… It was a good experience to kind of learn how to run the 10K at that regional level and prepare them for next season as well."

Finishing next for the Panthers was Cullen Boyle, recording a time of 32:49.7. He was followed shortly behind by Nate Griepentrog and Carter Eckhoff in 165th and 176th, who recorded times of 32:56.3 and 33:17.1, respectively.

Lucas Picco, Sam Schreiber, and Aidan Sosnowski rounded out the Panthers' efforts on the day, finishing 183rd, 190th, and 202nd.

Barring at at-large bid to the NCAA Championship meet, the Panthers will conclude their 2023 season with 3 top-four finishes and a 7th place performance at the Horizon League Championship.
