Getting a preview of what will be this year's Great Lakes Regionals course, Milwaukee finished the John McNichols Invite with 219 points for a sixth place finish out of 14 Division I teams – most notable ahead of Horizon League foes IUPUI, Purdue Fort Wayne and former league opponent UIC.

"I felt like it was a solid effort," Panther head coach
Andrew Basler said. "I know they're capable of a lot more than what was ran today. The gap of time between our three and 10 runners was really good, it's just the overall times they ran need to be a little bit faster, but that's going to come here in the next two to four weeks."

Â
Sophomore
Cailin Kinas (19:01.6) and
Hannah Olenchek (19:12.9) followed-up with another strong showing after the Phoenix Open, finishing 53
rd and 62

Â
Freshman

nd with a time of 19:21.8.
Â
"All in all, it was a good weekend," added associate head coach
Jake Reilly. "It's always nice to get on a championship style course and against regionally ranked teams to get a gauge of where we're at."

The Panthers have time off before competing at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite on Friday, September 30.
