PEORIA, Ill. - The Milwaukee women's cross country program finished in 24th place at the Bradley Pink Classic at the Newman Golf Course Friday afternoon, tallying 711 points.

Janiyah Taylor put together another quality showing to lead the Panthers, placing 106th with a 6K time of 21:52.8. Taylor's time was good for a career-best, marking her first 6K completed in under 22 minutes.

"I was very impressed with sophomore Janiyah Taylor, who led our women's team, breaking into the 21s for the first time," head coach Andrew Basler said. "She has had a very consistent season and will be ready for another big drop at conference."

Isabella Switalski, Avery Sommer, Grace Storjohann and Abbey Schultz all ran season-bests in the 6K competition to round out the scorers for Milwaukee.

The Panthers will return to the course for their first postseason race of the year, competing at the Horizon League Championships Saturday, Oct. 31, in Clinton, Pa. at the Youthtowne Fields. The women's 6K competition is slated to get underway at 10:00 a.m. CT.
