MILWAUKEE – Te'Jon Lucas of the Milwaukee men's basketball team has been named the Horizon League Player of the Week, the league office announced today.
Lucas went off for a career-high 31 points in Milwaukee's 87-80 win over Green Bay Saturday, leading the charge as the Panthers won their third game in a row.
He finished an efficient 9-of-13 from the floor (.692) as well as 4-of-6 (.667) on three's and 9-of-10 (.900) from the free-throw line. He added 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals and came up big when needed the most.
With the game on the line in the closing minutes, he scored 11 points in a row for his team, with the stretch eventually helping take the score from 68-64 to 79-71 with three minutes left in the contest.
