Crowley, Heard Join The Panther Family

High school standouts choose Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE – Two high school standouts have signed their papers and will join the Milwaukee women's basketball team next year, head coach Kyle Rechlicz announced Wednesday.

Grace Crowley of Mequon, Wis., and Tadriana Heard of Justice, Ill., have both signed their National Letters of Intent and will join the Panthers next season.

"We are thrilled to be adding Grace and Tadri to our Panther Family," Rechlicz said. "They are incredible players and even better people. We have enjoyed getting to know their families throughout this process and the values their parents have instilled in them fit perfectly with our culture. They are both very skilled off the dribble and will provide us with size and depth at the guard position."

Crowley joins the Black & Gold from nearby Homestead High School. She grabbed headlines statewide this past February after recording a triple-double in a big win home win for the Highlanders. A multi-sport athlete, Crowley is also a proven winner, helping Homestead to three consecutive state titles.

"Grace adds much needed length to our wing spots," Rechlicz said. "She has a knack for getting to the rim and knows how to finish in difficult situations. We have been impressed with her demeanor over the last few seasons and can't wait to watch her grow in a Panther uniform."

Heard comes to Milwaukee from Argo Community High School in the greater Chicago area. She already surpassed the 1,000-point plateau last year during her junior season. She helped the Argo's make a strong run in the playoffs and finished the year averaging nearly 16 points per game, to go with 6.7 assists, 3.1 steals and 4.3 rebounds.

"Tadri's game matches her personality: positive energy and creative," Rechlicz said. "Her incredible IQ and ability to read the defense fits our high ball screen system perfectly. She has a passion for basketball that is unmatched and she will provide an immediate spark to our combo position."
