MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Milwaukee swim & dive teams host conference foe Green Bay on Saturday, Jan. 27 for its final home meet of the season. During this time, the Panthers will also celebrate 12 outstanding seniors.
LAST TIME OUT
Milwaukee took to the pool and swam competitively for the first time since late 2017 against the University of Chicago at the Myers-McLoraine Pool. Both the men's and women's teams gained positive results heading into the conference championships.
Senior
Sara Bentley capped the meet with four event wins including a new pool record. This season alone, Bentley has recorded a school record an NCAA B-cut time in the 100-yard backstroke, a pool record at an opposing school's pool, and multiple event wins.
A season ago, Bentley set the 100-yard IM pool record at 59.35 seconds and yet again rewrote the record books with a new mark of 58.93 seconds.
The women also went 1-2-3 in three events against the Maroons: 1000 freestyle, 100 freestyle, and 500 freestyle.
Diver
Cassidy Pilo dove to an NCAA Zone Cut scoring 280.50 points in the 3-meter dive. Pilo would go on to win the event.
On the men's side, the Panthers mirrored the women finishing 1-2-3 in the 1000-yard freestyle.
Colin Duffy,
Andrew Grever and
Adriel Huerta swept the top three podium spots in the event.
Both Dakota Skendore and
Spencer Peronto won in the 1 and 3-meter dive events. Skendore scored an NCAA Zone Cut 302.25 points, earning a first place finish in the 1-meter, while Peronto scored 295.13 points to take first in the 3-meter.

SCOUTING THE MEET
Last weekend, Green Bay traveled to Northern Michigan for a dual meet. The program split victories as the women defeated Wildcats while the men fell short.
Diver Bailey Wagner is coming off of Horizon League Diver of the Week sweeping the 1-meter and 3-meter board events.
FINAL CHECK-UP
The regular season is nearing its end. Milwaukee will follow their meet against the Green Bay by traveling to Stevens Point six days later for their final dual meet of the 2017-18 competitive season. From there, Milwaukee will have about two weeks to prepare for the Horizon League Championships.
