Dayton, Ohio - K.J. Heger posted two landslide victories and two other Panthers posted individual wins on the day but it wasn't enough as the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's swimming & diving team fell to Wright State University Saturday morning, 206-92, at the WSU Natatorium.

"We had plenty of positives on the men's side today," Milwaukee head coach Kyle Clements said. "K.J. was outstanding on both boards. Tim was faster than he's been, Chris Jenkyns was faster than he's been. What doesn't show up on that score is that we've got a bunch of people swimming faster at different meets, we just happen to run into a tough matchup on that day. Nobody likes losing so our plan is to go back to work Monday and get better. We've got two more tough meets next weekend and we're looking forward to getting back out there."

Heger continued his dominating start to the 2013-14 season by cruising to two more wins Saturday. The junior first won the one-meter diving competition with a score of 324.75, a full 72 points ahead of the next finisher. Heger then dominated the three-meter board with a score of 353.45, a whopping 94 points better than second place. Those mark the third and fourth NCAA Zone-qualifying scores he has posted this season in as many dives.

Kenny Stelpflug posted an impressive win the 1000 freestyle, just touching out John Vigar with a winning time of 9:46.12 for first. Nic Halverson was third in 9:49.38.

Mike Lucchesi also posted a win on the day for UWM, touching the wall first in the 100 butterfly with a winning time of 52.25.

In the 200 freestyle, Tim Halverson just missed a win, taking second in 1:43.71.

Milwaukee also just missed a win in the 200 medley relay. Chris Jenkyns, David Chokran, Lucchesi and Nick Menninga teamed up to swim the event in 1:37.40 for second place.

The Panthers return to the road for a pair of meets next weekend, starting with a Friday dual at Wheaton College in the suburbs of Chicago at 4:30 p.m.
