MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee swim & dive team landed six athletes on this year's College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
Mara Freeman,
Natalie DiProspero,
Christiana Brooks, and
Nadia Switalski represent the Panther women, while
Andrew Jones and
Alvin Valkki secure the male Milwaukee nods.
Securing her third CSC honor is Freeman, who was part of three winning relay efforts at the 2026 Horizon League Championships (200 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay). The senior from McFarland, Wis., holds a 4.00 GPA while studying accounting at Milwaukee and has been named to the Horizon League All-Academic Team three times throughout her career.
DiProspero earns her first CSC nod after registering multiple finals performances at the conference meet this season. The nursing major from Racine, Wis., currently holds a 4.00 GPA and was named to the Horizon League All-Academic Team this season.
Also holding a 4.00 GPA is Brooks who majors in biological science. She receives her first career CSC accolade after a solid sophomore campaign for the Black & Gold. At the Horizon League Championships, she set a school record in the 100 freestyle and was a member of the three title-winning relay efforts (200 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay). She was a member of the 2026 Horizon League All-Academic Team as well.
Switalski receives her first career CSC nod while holding a 4.00 GPA as a nursing major. At the Horizon League Championships, she reached the finals in both the 100 breaststroke (12th) and 200 breaststroke (6th).
On the men's side, Jones, a graduate student, earns his second straight CSC honor while sustaining a 4.00 GPA studying Business Administration. Jones set the school record in the 100 breaststroke at the 2026 Horizon League Championships and was part of two additional school-record performances this season. Jones was named to the 2026 Horizon League All-Academic Team as well.
Rounding out the Panther male awardees is Valkki who holds a 3.79 GPA while studying data analytics. The 2026 Horizon League All-Academic Honorable Mention honoree recorded personal bests in the 100 butterfly and 100 freestyle this season. Additionally, the sophomore currently holds the school record in the 200 breaststroke.
