MILWAUKEE - Geoff McCammon scored 18 points to lead three players in double figures as Loyola University Chicago claimed a 69-64 win over the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Saturday night at the U.S. Cellular Arena.

The Panthers (6-3, 1-1 Horizon) overcame a 12-point first-half deficit to claim a one-point lead with just under 11 minutes to play. But, McCammon hit a three on Loyola's next possession to give the lead back to the Ramblers (5-2, 1-1), who would never give it up.

Ricky Franklin scored 17 points to lead Milwaukee, which was hampered by foul trouble throughout the night. Loyola wound up shooting 26 free throws to just 15 for Milwaukee, and the Ramblers also shot nearly 47 percent from the field.

Courtney Stanley added 13 points and Terrance Hill 11 for Loyola.

Lonnie Boga contributed 12 points off the bench for the Panthers, who saw their five game winning streak snapped. UWM shot just 36.7 percent from the floor while making 9-of-29 from beyond the arc.

Milwaukee could never get on track in the first half, shooting just 29.6 percent from the floor. Loyola built a 27-16 lead and eventually led 36-24 on a layup by Andy Polka with 15 seconds remaining.

The Panthers still trailed 42-31 three minutes into the second half before scoring eight-straight points to pull within 42-39. UWM eventually tied the game at 44 on a Boga layin and took the lead when Boga hit a three with 10:49 remaining. But, McCammon's three 14 seconds later put Loyola back up, 49-47, and the Ramblers eventually lead by as many as eight points late in the game.

UWM returns to action Tuesday night, heading across the street to the Bradley Center for its annual meeting with Marquette. The game tips off at 7 p.m.
