MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee track & field teams competed in the final days of the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C., and the Marquette Invitational in Milwaukee, Wis.

Natalie Block's success from yesterday's action continued into today's 400-meter hurdles where she finished second, running an impressive 57.12.
Brooke Crosby also battled in the event, crossing the line in 1:05.79.
In the long jump,
Anna Szepieniec cracked the top-five, jumping an outdoor career-best 6.12 meters to finish fourth. Her mark positions her second in the record books for the event.
Nevia Levenhagen added a solid performance for the Black & Gold, clearing an outdoor season-best 5.74 meters.
Katie Burns shined in the 400-meter run, finishing 13th in a 75-runner field. The senior clocked a season-best time of 55.77 in the event.
Burns did not stop there, besting her previous 200-meter career best by 0.01 seconds. She finished 17th with her 24.51 outing which ranks 9th in the Panther top-10 record books.
Rachel Helm notched a season-best outdoor time of 2:14.62 in the 800-meter run, while
Kallie Volk threw 31.24 meters in the javelin.
Szepieniec and Volk both secured spots in the top-10 of the triple jump, with Szepieniec securing sixth (11.89 meters), and Volk taking eighth (11.76 meters).
MARQUETTE INVITATIONAL
One of the many highlights at the meet in Milwaukee, Wis., was
Nolie Anderson's discus outing. The freshman took first in the event, registering the second-best throw in program history with her 46.08-meter toss.
Angelica Refinski swept the sprint events, clocking a time of 12.13 in the 100-meter dash and 25.45 in the 200-meter. Also dominating in the sprints was
Taylor Thimmesch who finished fourth in both the 100-meter (12.48) and 200-meter (26.04).
Another standout for the Panthers was
Victoria Evtimov who recorded a runner-up finish in the 200-meter (25.67) and a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter run (59.87).
The team of Refinski, Evtimov,
Lilly Wepking, and
Taylor Thimmesch took home the 4x100-meter relay crown with their 47.16 effort.
Lauren Ripley,
Janiyah Taylor,
Eileen Tocco, and
Ally Schmitz went 1,2,3,4 in the 1500-meter run. Ripley won the event with her 4:45.12 performance.
In the steeplechase,
Rohan Flanagan won the event, turning in a personal-best 12:07.55 effort.
Rylan Oberg was right behind, crossing the line in 12:14.38.
Securing the top two spots on the podium in the high jump were
Alexandria Simmons and
Chloe Hedman. Simmons cleared 1.60 meters, while Hedman added a 1.55-meter leap.
Hailey Soriaga put together a season-best performance in the pole vault, winning the event after clearing 3.73 meters.
Emma Johnson finished runner-up, vaulting 3.63 meters.
Two members of the Black & Gold found spots on the podium in the long jump.
Lauren Wickus turned in a 5.22-meter leap to nab second, while
Kara Meeteer jumped 5.17 meters, ending third.
