MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee men's basketball associate head coach
Jake Williams has been invited to the Silver Waves Media Power Lunch at this year's Final Four in Indianapolis, Ind.
The fourth annual event will take place at IU Indianapolis on April 2 in conjunction with the 2026 NCAA Men's Final Four.
Williams, who also serves as Milwaukee's recruiting coordinator, is one of 75 rising assistant or head men's basketball coaches from around the nation to participate in the programming, which includes hearing from industry speakers and a networking session. He was also named to the list of the "100 Most Impactful Mid-Major Assistant Coaches and GMs" selected in January.
During his time at Milwaukee, Williams has been instrumental in the recruiting and development of BJ Freeman (2022-23 & 2023-24 All Horizon-League Second Team Honors), Ahmad Rand (2022-23 Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year),
Faizon Fields (2023-24 Horizon League All-Tournament Team),
Jamichael Stillwell (2024-25 Horizon League Newcomer of the Year & All-League First Team Honors), and
Themus Fulks (2024-25 All Horizon-League Second Team Honors).
Since its inception, the power luncheon has connected the nation's top 75 assistant coaches with director of athletics, men's basketball sport supervisors, and the top five search firms in college athletics – which has resulted in dozens of those in attendance becoming head coaches at the Division I level. The
Silver Waves Media Power Lunch hosted by Ryan Silver has become a mainstay at the Final Four and a mandatory event for any collegiate coach looking to grow and build relationships in the industry.
