MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee track & field's Anna Szepieniec was named Horizon League Women's Field Athlete of the Week, released by the league office Tuesday.
 
This marks the second consecutive honor for Szepieniec and the fourth weekly award of the indoor season, following an impressive performance at Iowa's Larry Wieczorek Invitational.
 
Szepieniec captured the long jump title with a mark of 5.94 meters, clearing the field by 0.28 meters. The victory marked her third win in the event in three indoor event appearances this season.
 
The Panthers will compete at Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational Jan 30-31 in the Loftus Center.
