MILWAUKEE – The next episode of the "PounceCast" – a feature that provides more content and helps tell the stories behind Milwaukee Panther Athletics – is available as of today. 
 
The podcast, hosted by Matt Menzl, is designed to take listeners behind the scenes with key members of the Panther community.
 
The next episode (32:54) features Milwaukee Assistant Director of Academic Services Andy Van Sistine and is available HERE.

Van Sistine enters his 11th year with the Panthers in 2025-26 after being hired as an academic advisor for the department in August of 2015. He was promoted to Assistant Director of Academic Services in the Milwaukee Athletic Department in February of 2021

Van Sistine's primary role is to provide comprehensive academic support services for the sports of men's basketball, women's basketball, volleyball, and baseball.
 
He also monitors student-athletes regarding NCAA rules for satisfactory progress towards degree completion requirements and serves as the liaison to Northwestern Mutual to create career & professional development events, such as the department's annual Elevator Pitch Competition.
 
Lastly, Van Sistine organizes and instructs the ED PSY 101 course, Success in Academic & Athletics and oversees and trains Academic Enhancement interns.
 
Originally from Green Bay, Van Sistine arrived at Milwaukee after earning his Master of Science in Education degree at Purdue with a focus on mathematics curriculum and instruction. While with the Boilermakers he worked in academic services, assisting with the tutoring program and advising student-athletes in football and women's tennis.Prior to his time at Purdue, Van Sistine spent four years teaching algebra and geometry at Brown County High School in Nashville, Indiana. Van Sistine earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education degree from Wisconsin in May of 2009.
 
The Milwaukee Athletic Department announced the creation of this monthly podcast back in January of 2023.
