MILWAUKEE – The next episode of the "PounceCast" – a feature that provides more content and helps tell the stories behind Milwaukee Panther Athletics – is available as of today.

The podcast, hosted by Matt Menzl, is designed to take listeners behind the scenes with key members of the Panther community.

The next episode (31:35) features Milwaukee baseball Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator Mike Porcaro and is available HERE.

Porcaro just wrapped up his third season back on the bench for the Panthers, returning to the staff after previously serving as an assistant during the 2021 season, where he served as infield coach and assistant hitting coach during his initial tenure with the program. In his three seasons with the Panthers, Porcaro has seen 11 student-athletes earn All-League honors from the Horizon League, including seven first-team selections. Most recently, Porcaro served as the Director of Baseball Operations at Arizona State University, where he was responsible for the program's travel, gameday operations, arranging of recruit visits, and was also responsible for regular reporting with the Arizona State senior administration, business office, and compliance office.

Porcaro enjoyed a highly-successful career with the Black & Gold, becoming one of just three baseball players to be named All-American in Milwaukee program history. He closed out his MKE career (2012-2015) with league postseason honors for the third time as a senior. Porcaro was the 2013 Horizon League Player of the Year, earning Honorable Mention All-American status that season after leading the team and league with a .364 batting average. He became the 11th player to ever record over 200 hits in a Milwaukee uniform, finishing his career ninth all-time with 215 while also finishing fourth in program history with 143 runs scored. He batted .312 in 192 collegiate games, driving in 117 runs.

The Milwaukee Athletic Department announced the creation of this monthly podcast back in January of 2023.
