MILWAUKEE – Seth Hubbard of Jonesboro, Ga., has signed with the Milwaukee men's basketball program and is set to play for the Panthers next season, head coach 
Bart Lundy officially announced today.
 
Hubbard comes to Milwaukee following one season at Toledo and two years at Western Michigan.
 
"We are excited to welcome Seth to our program," Lundy said. "Seth has a chance to make an immediate impact in the league. His work ethic and determination to be great will add to our culture and he will be a fan favorite."
 
Hubbard, a 6-foot-4, 195-pound guard, appeared in all 33 games last winter for the Rockets and was the team's top scorer off the bench averaging 8.4 points per contest, adding 2.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists a game. He netted double-figures in 12 outings, including a career-best 28-point effort against Akron the Mid-American Conference semifinals. He heated up as the year closed, averaging 20.0 ppg in the postseason. Hubbard ranked fifth in the MAC in free-throw percentage, finishing at an impressive 85.6 percent (77-of-90).
 
That followed two seasons at Western Michigan, leading the Broncos as a sophomore with his 14.1 ppg scoring average (13
th in the league), adding a career-high 3.4 rebounds to go along with 1.1 steals per game. He finished fifth in the MAC with a team-best 69 made 3's and topped the squad with 23 games of double-figure scoring. He produced four 20-plus point outbursts and led the WMU in scoring a team-high 15 occasions, ranking 10
th in the MAC in free-throw percentage at 79.8 percent (67-of-84).
 
As a freshman in 2022-23, Hubbard was named to the All-MAC Freshman Team after contributing 7.5 ppg and 2.5 rpg. He played in all 31 games, ranking sixth in the MAC in three-point percentage at 42.7 percent (44-of-103).
 
In high school, he averaged 20.0 points and 5.0 assists as a senior at Huntington Prep in Huntington, W. Va., including a career-best 36-point outing. He played his first three years at St. Francis High School in Alpharetta, Ga., winning back-to-back state titles during first two campaigns during a career in which he was a three-time all-state selection.
