INDIANAPOLIS - The Milwaukee swimming & diving teams had a strong third day of action at the Horizon League Championships on Friday, setting 10 new program records and earning a pair of victories in an impressive showing.

The women's 400 medley relay team of
Mara Freeman,
Gabrielle LePine,
Maddi Hayashi, and
Janelle Schulz claimed the league title with a school-record time of 3:39.13.

Meanwhile, the men's team of
Victor Kostov,
Andrew Jones,
Caleb Carlisle, and
Charlie House carved out a third-place finish in the medley relay with their own program-best time of 3:15.54.

LePine also won Milwaukee's first individual title of the meet, capping off a dominant season in the 100 breaststroke with an NCAA B standard time of 1:01.01.

On the men's side in the 100 breaststroke, Jones took down the school mark with a prelim time of 54.69, eventually taking sixth in the finals with a 54.74.
Alvin Valkki came in right behind Jones in seventh position at 55.24.

In the 100 backstroke, Freeman touched the wall in 54.96 to grab silver, just ahead of
Christiana Brooks who came in third with Milwaukee freshman-best mark of 55.44.

Kostov led the men's 100 backstroke, posted a team record time of 49.24.

Milwaukee's freshmen were the story in the 100 butterfly as Carlisle paced the men with a fourth-place performance of 47.26 to beat his own record from earlier in the season.

After setting the school record in the prelims at 54.81, Hayashi had her own fourth-place finish in the 100 butterfly finishing with a 55.04.

Erika Thomas kept the records coming for the Black & Gold in the 400 IM, finding a spot on the podium with a third-place time at 4:20.57.

During the 200 freestyle,
Janelle Schulz cracked the top-three spot, recording a mark of 1:50.18.

Charlie House rounded out the school record-setting day on the men's side, notching a prelim time of 1:37.90 before managing a 1:38.97 in the finals of the event later in the day.

On the one-meter diving board,
Ben Stitgen qualified for the finals and ended the day with a score of 269.65.

Heading into the final day of competition, the Panther women hold firm in second place with 453 points, trailing Oakland's pace of 545 points.

The men sit in fourth place with 311 points, just 16 back of third-place Cleveland State.

Saturday will begin with swimming preliminaries for the 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, and 200 butterfly at 9:00 a.m. (CT). Prelims for the men's one-meter dive will start at 11:30 a.m. (CT), and final rounds for all events will start at 4:30 p.m. (CT) streaming live on
ESPN+.
