INDIANAPOLIS – After helping Milwaukee to a pair of wins over Cleveland State this past weekend,
Kara Erdmann has been named Horizon League Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.

Erdmann and the Panthers have now won seven matches in a row, helping the team finish the regular season with an 11-7 mark in Horizon League play and clinching the fifth seed in the upcoming Volleyball Championship.

This past weekend, Erdmann was the top defender across the league, averaging 6.50 digs per set with 39 total Milwaukee's six set wins against the Vikings. On Friday, she recorded her 11th 20-dig performance of the season, finishing the match with 21.

This year, Erdmann has 530 digs, the 7th most in a single season in program history, and has accumulated 1,673 over her four seasons as a Panther, the 5th most all-time.

In addition to her defensive work, Erdmann added seven assists on offense against CSU, bringing her season total to 82.

This is the second time in her career that Erdmann has earned Player of the Week honors, the previous recognition coming on
Oct. 21, 2024. She is also the second Panther to receive a weekly honor in 2025, joining
Josie Noble, who was recognized on
Nov. 3.

Milwaukee will begin postseason play on Friday evening at 5:00 p.m. (CT) against fourth-seeded IU Indy. With a win, the Panthers would advance to Saturday's semifinals to face either second-seeded Wright State or top-seeded and host Northern Kentucky.
