INDIANAPOLIS – Natalie Block has been named the Horizon League Female Track Athlete of the Week for the third consecutive week, as announced today by the league office.
 
Block received the award after her record-breaking performance at the eleventh annual Tierney Classic on Saturday. The senior hurdler broke her own program record in the 60m hurdles for the second time in as many meets by recording a time of 8.25 seconds. Block further extended her gap over the rest of the conference and holds the 25^th best time in the country.
 
The 8.25 second mark also reset the Klotsche Center record for the event, which was also previously held by Block.
 
This is Block's third award this season, all consecutive. The nomination also marks Milwaukee's tenth as a program.
 
Block, along with her teammates, will be competing this Friday and Saturday at the Illini Challenge hosted by the University of Illinois.
