MILWAUKEE – Members of the Milwaukee baseball team have been around the country competing in collegiate summer leagues since the conclusion of the spring semester.

Over 20 Panthers have seen action across 10 leagues in preparation for their return to Milwaukee this fall. The team will look to use its summer season to springboard into the fall semester before heading into the 2024 slate in mid-February.

Cape Cod League
Riley Frey, who was recently
drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 2023 MLB Draft, was pitching for the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod League. He made nine appearances and struck out 15 batters over 13 2/3 relief innings while pitching to a 4.61 ERA.

Dairyland Collegiate League
Q Phillips has been playing with the Northshore Bobbers, playing their home games in nearby Glendale at Maslowski Park. Phillips has a .340 batting average with 16 walks and has scored 17 runs with one home run and nine RBIs.

Justin Hausser, who has been recovering from an injury during the Panthers' season this past spring has not yet appeared in a game for the Lakeside Beach Bums.

Kernels Collegiate League
Luke Smock has appeared in 23 games this summer for the Normal Bluecaps, and during his time with the team has a .262 batting average with one home run and 17 RBIs, while he also has a .359 on-base percentage and has scored 11 runs on the year.

Land O Lakes
Caleb Lorbecki has been off to one of the top performers for the Monches Irish this summer, with a .486 batting average with four doubles and seven RBIs. He has 11 runs scored and a .600 slugging percentage. The Irish has a handful of games left before postseason in mid-August.

The Northern League
Tommy Benson has been playing for the Indiana Panthers based out of Hammond, Indiana. In six games of recorded statistics, Benson has a pair of doubles and four walks with three RBIs while stealing a pair of bases.

Northwoods League
Keagon Kaufmann has been pitching for the Kenosha Kingfish in the Northwoods League. He has appeared in four games in relief while throwing 11 1/3 innings with six strikeouts and a 5.56 ERA.

Carson Hansen has shifted over to the Lakeshore Chinooks this past week, after spending the first half of the summer season with the Sheboygan A's of the Wisconsin Summer League. In three games with the Chinooks, he had a three-run home run in his Chinooks' debut. Hansen had a .341 average with 12 extra base hits and seven RBIs with Sheboygan.

Tyler Deleskiewicz has appeared in three games for the Chinooks since joining the team with a second-half contract. In his four innings of work the rising sophomore has six strikeouts of the 23 batters that he has faced.

DJ Kojis also signed with Lakeshore for the second half of the season and has faced 20 batters in his three outings this season with five strikeouts, including three strikeouts over as many innings in his most recent outing at Fond du Lac on July 16.

Gabe Roessler has been a staple in the Lakeshore lineup in 2023 appearing in 32 of the team's 48 games. He has a .310 average with seven doubles and 18 RBIs and has also walked a dozen times. He is second on the team with 15 stolen bases this summer.

Teige Lethert will be transferring to Milwaukee this upcoming year and is currently a member of the Minnesota Mud Puppies. As a member of the traveling team for the league, Lethert has appeared in 19 games with five home runs and 17 RBIs while also walking 11 times.

Sean Tillmon, who will be joining the Panthers as a graduate transfer from Concordia Wisconsin, played in four games this spring with the Chinooks and had one hit, while also driving in three runs.

Owen Rice is signed to second-half contracts with the Chinooks, he has not appeared in a contest for Lakeshore at the time of this release.

Old North State League
Thomas Otto and
Andrew Chapman have been playing the Sandhill Bogeys in North Carolina this summer.
Â
Chapman is hitting .439 with 18 hits and six RBIs in 41 at bats this summer, which includes one double while also stealing three bases.
Â
Otto has a .227 batting average with one home run and nine RBIs with 10 walks and three stolen bases.
Â
Prospect League
Mike Sullivan and
Andrew Jimenez are scheduled to be teammates with the Springfield Lucky Horses this summer. While Jimenez has not yet played and is signed to a second-half contract, Sullivan has been pitching regularly and appeared in 10 games in relief and thrown 11 innings with as many strikeouts and a 1.64 ERA with one win and one save.

Incoming transfer,
Tyler Bickers is also playing in the Prospect League as a member of the Normal CornBelters. In 24 games, he is hitting .304 with one home run and 10 RBIs. He has four stolen bases and has walked nine time of a .376 on-base percentage.

Rock River League
Johnny Kelliher, who has pitched throughout his Panther career, has been playing the field for the Hartford Hawks in nearby Hartford, Wisconsin. In 43 at bats with the Hawks, he has a .465 batting average with two home runs and 12 RBIs. He has tallied a double and a triple with three stolen bases in 43 at bats.

Wisconsin State League
Evan Baptiste is playing for the Lombard Orioles, which splits its time in the Wisconsin State League and the Chicago Suburban League. In nine games, he has four hits including a double with four RBIs.

James Severson has seen time in four games for the Orioles this summer, and over his 5 1/3 innings pitched has struck out nine batters while only allowing two hits and two walks over that span.
