MILWAUKEE – Learic Davis has officially signed with the Milwaukee men's basketball program, announced today by head coach
Bart Lundy.
A 6-foot, 7-inch, 190-pound guard, Davis comes to the Panthers following a redshirt season at Tennessee State and will have four seasons of eligibility remaining for his collegiate career.
"Learic is a hometown hero here in Milwaukee and we are thrilled to have him coming home," Lundy said. "He is an exceptional athlete who has the versatility in his game to play many positions. We are excited to help him grow into the player he can become!"
As a prep athlete at Bradley Tech here in Milwaukee, Davis was a two-time First-Team All-City Conference player and averaged 22.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 4.1 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game as a senior in 2021-22, helping the Trojans win the City Conference title for the first time since 2005.
A Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Division 1 All-State honoree, he became Tech's first City Player of the Year since 1983 and was a McDonald's All-America nominee. Davis possesses a 40-inch vertical leap and is well-known for his dunking ability, having made ESPN's Top 10 on SportsCenter as a high school athlete.
In addition to Tennessee State, Davis had offers from Texas A&M, Robert Morris, Western Illinois, and Grambling State, as well as interest from Texas, USC, Marquette, Butler, and Arizona State, among others.
