Izzy Pugh Added to Women's Basketball Incoming Class for 2023-24

April 19, 2023

MILWAUKEE – On Wednesday, head coach Kyle Rechlicz of the Milwaukee women's basketball program announced the signing of Izzy Pugh as the fourth member of the team's incoming class for the 2023-24 season.

"We are thrilled to announce the signing of center Izzy Pugh," said Rechlicz. "She is a great addition both as a player and person to our already amazing 2023 class. She will bring some much-needed size, power, and rebounding to our roster this year. She also has a relentless work ethic and I'm looking forward to seeing her growth in our program."

Pugh will make her way to Milwaukee from Auckland, New Zealand, where she was a reserve member of the New Zealand U-18 National Team. Beyond her international experience, Pugh was a member of the high school national championship team this past season and was named to the All-Tournament Team as one of the top players in postseason play.

She averaged 25.5 points per game while connecting on 63.9 percent from the field. On the boards she averaged 9.7 rebounds per game.

Pugh joins Jorey Buwalda, Payton Rechlicz, and Sophia Rampulla who signed their National Letters of Intent during the fall semester.
