MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Sophia Rampulla finalized her letter of intent to play for the Milwaukee women's basketball team, head coach
Kyle Rechlicz announced.
"Sophia is a hidden gem in our state. I was thankful to stumble across one of her games on the AAU circuit a few years ago and I knew instantly I wanted her to be a Panther," Rechlicz stated. "She is a three-level scoring guard with the ability to play multiple positions and her length will fit our defensive style well. We are excited to see all of Union Grove out to support her and our team very soon."
Heading into her final season at Union Grove, Rampulla sits as the program's second all-time leading rebounder (578 rebounds) and shot blocker (106) while leading in total assists (258). Last season, the combo guard was named Southern Lakes Conference Athlete of the Year and All-Racine County Player of the Year after averaging 11.1 points, 9.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 3.2 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game.
Rampulla joins Jorey Buwalda and Payton Rechlicz as newcomers for the upcoming season.
