MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee men's and women's track & field teams will get their first taste of the 2023-24 indoor season tomorrow in Chicago when they compete at the Blue Demon Holiday Invite hosted by DePaul.
 
Taking place at the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track & Field Center at Gately Park, the meet will begin with the weight throw, high jump, and long jump taking place at 2:00 pm, followed by shot put, triple jump, and pole vault later in the day. Running events kick off at 5:00 pm with the 60m hurdles and the 60m dash, followed by other events later in the day.
 
Milwaukee will join Marquette, UIC, Loyola Chicago, Purdue Northwest, Olive Harvey, North Central, Elmhurst, Bryant & Stratton, and host DePaul at the meet.
 
Preseason #2 –
 
The Milwaukee track & field program has been picked to finish second on both the women's side and the men's side, according to the preseason poll released by the Horizon League.
 
The Horizon League Preseason Poll shows the Panthers receiving one first-place vote each. The men collected 56 points, second just to preseason favorite Youngstown State's 63. On the women's side, Milwaukee sits in the runner-up spot as well, with 90 points to Youngstown State's 99.
