MILWAUKEE – Lesley Kiesling of the Milwaukee women's soccer team has been named the Horizon League Nike Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced this afternoon.
The award is the fifth of the season for the team and the first for Kiesling in her career at Milwaukee. It also gives MKE the weekly honor on the offensive side for the fourth time in six weeks this fall.
Kiesling paced the Milwaukee offense in a 2-0 week, accounting for four goals when she found the back of the net twice in consecutive matches against Cleveland State and Youngstown State. She now leads the Horizon League with her eight goals.
She is the first Panther to record back-to-back multi-goal games since
McKaela Schmelzer had two against both Oakland and IUPUI in October of 2017.
