MILWAUKEE – Julia Esperanza de Ritter has signed with the Milwaukee women's soccer team and will transfer into the program to play for the 2026 season, head coach
Kevin Boyd announced today.
Esperanza de Ritter comes to Milwaukee from Lewis & Clark Community College in Godfrey Ill., where she put together an impressive sophomore campaign.
In 11 games, she made nine starts, posting a 0.83 goals-against average and a trio of shutouts. She helped the Trailblazers to an overall record of 12-2-3 overall, playing all the way to the third round of the NJCAA Central District Tournament before suffering a 1-0 loss to Iowa Western Community College Nov. 1.
"We are looking forward to Julia joining our program," Boyd said. "She comes to us from a junior college where she just finished an outstanding season, being recognized as Goalkeeper of the Year for the conference and region. She was developed growing up in a top club, 'Feyenoord' in Holland, which is known for their ability to produce players. We expect she will challenge for the starting spot immediately."
That followed a freshman campaign where she made starts in all 13 of her outings, posting a 0.96 goals-against average, a .784 save percentage, six shutouts, and 39 total saves.
A native of Barendrecht, Netherlands, Esperanza de Ritter attended high school and played soccer at Thorbecke Talentschool Rotterdam.
