MILWAUKEE, Wis. –
Brandi Bisping led the Milwaukee women's basketball team to a sweep of UIC this past weekend and for her efforts, was named High-Major Conference Player of the Week by
College Sports Madness.
It marks the second weekly honor for Bisping by College Sports Madness, as she also earned the recognition earlier this year on November 30.
In a crucial sweep of UIC, Bisping dominated the Flames, averaging 19.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. The senior shot 56.0 percent (14-for-25) from the floor, 71.4 percent (5-for-7) from three-point range, and was a perfect 6-for-6 at the line. On Friday, Bisping recorded her fifth double-double of the season with 23 points and 11 rebounds. She followed that with a 16-point, six-rebound effort in a win over UIC on Saturday to help Milwaukee clinch a share of the Horizon League regular season title.
Bisping moved up to 12th in the league in scoring (11.5ppg) and third in rebounding (8.6ppg). She also leads the league and ranks fourth in the nation in free throw percentage (92.9).
Bisping and the Panthers earned the overall No. 2 seed for the Horizon League Tournament and will host the second lowest-remaining seed on Tuesday, March 2. Live coverage links and additional information can be found on
