Wenzel Named To League All-Academic Team

Third academic award for Wenzel

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Trevor Wenzel of the Milwaukee men's cross country team was named to the Horizon League All-Academic team, the league office announced this afternoon.
 
This marks the third-straight League All-Academic Award for Wenzel.
 
Wenzel is a Mechanical Engineering major who carries a 3.878 GPA in the classroom. The Valders native paced the Panthers in five meets this season and set multiple personal bests throughout the season. The senior most recently led the team at the Great Lakes Regional Championship, posting a new 10K personal best time of 31:46.6.
 
The Horizon League recognizes student-athletes with seasonal Academic All-League Teams in each of its 19 championship sports. To be eligible for the Horizon League All-Academic consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 or higher (based on a 4.00 scale), have completed at least one year at the member institution, and participate in 50 percent of the team's overall contests. An Honorable Mention team is awarded to student-athletes who received at least 25 percent of votes but did not make the All-Academic team.
