INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Thanks to a pair of stellar performances,
Brandi Bisping of the Milwaukee women's basketball team earned her first Horizon League Player of the Week honor.
In two victories this past weekend, Bisping averaged 20.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 steals. The junior shot 61.9 percent (13-for-21) from the floor, 60 percent (3-for-5) from three-point range, and was a perfect 12-for-12 at the free throw line in the weekend sweep.
In Friday's win over Oakland, Bisping poured in a career-high 28 points on 9-for-11 shooting while adding 11 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. In a win over Detroit Mercy, Bisping totaled 13 points and seven rebounds.
The award is Bisping's first and also the first for a Panther since December 23, 2018 when
Lizzie Odegard earned the honor. Bisping was also named Horizon League Player of the Week by the
College Sports Madness website.
