MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee men's basketball program announced its 2019-20 non-conference schedule today, featuring six home games, road contests at Kansas and Wisconsin, and a trio of contests in the "The Islands of the Bahamas Showcase" in late November.
Overall, the Panthers could take on three different teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament and four teams that made the postseason last year.
"Our schedule presents a challenge that will test us immediately against very good non-conference opponents prior to our Horizon League conference slate," Milwaukee head coach
Pat Baldwin said. "I am really excited about the number of home games early in the schedule, which will allow our students and fans to see our players in action."

Game times and television broadcast information will be announced at a later date.
"The Bahamas trip will be a great test against very good mid-major competition before closing out our non-conference slate," Baldwin added. "Playing against Wisconsin and Kansas, respectively, are great opportunities for our guys to play in great environments."
Beginning with an exhibition against Cardinal Stritch October 31 at the Klotsche Center, the Panthers kick off the 2019-20 campaign at home.
The regular season opener will be November 5, with Milwaukee tipping off the campaign by looking for a victory in its home opener for the 19
th time in the past 20 seasons when it hosts Concordia University Wisconsin at UWM Panther Arena.
The new tradition from last winter continues, with the Panthers welcoming Western Michigan at UWM Panther Arena for their "Homecoming" contest November 9. More details on that event will be announced soon on the MKE website.
The team remains home for the next three contests, welcoming Wisconsin Lutheran Nov. 12, Kansas City Nov. 15, and North Dakota Nov. 19.
The first road trip takes the squad to the third annual "The Islands of the Bahamas Showcase". While there, the Panthers are scheduled to take on Rice in opening-round action Friday, Nov. 22. The team will play three games in three days in the event, facing either Liberty or Morgan State on Saturday, Nov. 23.
The possible matchup against Liberty would see Milwaukee battle a program that went 29-7 a season ago and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
After returning state-side, the Panthers open December against a Drake team (Dec. 3) that won a share of the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season crown a season ago, recorded 24 victories, and played in the CollegeInsider.com postseason tournament.
Following that, it's on to try and conquer Kansas Dec. 10, a team that went 26-10 last season and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. That bid extended its streak to 30 straight years playing in the NCAA Tournament.
The Jayhawks, who have sold out 291 straight home games at Allen Fieldhouse, will enter the 2019-20 season carrying a 21-game winning streak at home (17-0 a year ago). They are already in everyone's preseason Top 5 of the national polls.
The final home game of the non-conference season will then be played against Eastern Illinois Dec. 14.
The last road game prior to the start of Horizon League play takes the Panthers west to Madison for a showdown with Wisconsin at the Kohl Center Dec. 21. The Badgers finished 23-11 last winter, advancing once again to the NCAA Tournament.
The in-state rivals have split the past two meetings, with the Badgers coming out on top most recently (winning 71-49 in November of 2017). The Panthers claimed a 68-67 victory over UW at the Kohl Center during the 2015-16 campaign.
