DAYTON, Ohio – The Milwaukee tennis team earned a doubles and single match win over Wright State, but the team fell 6-1 Saturday at the South Regency Tennis and Fitness Center.
The Panthers (5-14, 1-3) went into the second half of conference play on the road beginning with Wright State. The first place Raiders (15-9, 4-0) proved their dominance defeating Milwaukee, 6-1.
Milwaukee got a solid performance out of duo
Loren Nelson and
Nicole Clarke defeating Luisa Pelayo and Grace Whitney 6-1 at the No. 2 doubles position. The Panthers looked to claim the doubles point, but fell just short losing the No. 3 spot 6-4 with
Agata Jurczak/
Lucy Harper going head-to-head with Madison Riley and Jillian Milano.
Anna Daniel Fuentes highlighted singles play and secured Milwaukee's only point by defeating her Raider opponent 4-6, 6-2, 10-3.
