MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee women's tennis players Karolina Skowronska and Natalia Castaneda Guerrero will represent the Panthers at the 50th annual Milwaukee Tennis Classic this weekend.
 
The two Panthers will represent Milwaukee in both the 32-player women's singles draw as well as the doubles field, marking the first time in program history that Milwaukee women's tennis players will compete in the prestigious event since Alexandra Belle did so in 2018.
 
The Milwaukee Tennis Classic is scheduled for Sept. 11-13 and annually features some of the nation's top collegiate tennis players. This year's women's field includes student-athletes from programs such as North Carolina, Purdue, Illinois, Colorado, South Florida, Wisconsin, Kansas State, Marquette, and Milwaukee.
 
The women's competition will be held Friday and Saturday at the Nicolet Tennis Center in Glendale, with the women's championship matches scheduled to move to Western Racquet Club in Elm Grove on Sunday.
 
Skowronska enters her first season with the Panthers after transferring from Chicago State, where she earned Second-Team Northeast Conference honors in both singles and doubles in 2025-26. The Wroclaw, Poland native led the Cougars with 12 singles victories last season, including 10 at No. 1 singles and a perfect 4-0 mark in conference play; adding 14 total doubles victories.
 
Castaneda Guerrero is also beginning her first season in Milwaukee after transferring from UTSA. The Córdoba, Mexico native posted a 7-4 singles record and a 13-5 doubles mark during her freshman season with the Roadrunners and compiled 14 total wins as a sophomore.
