Odegard Named Horizon League Player Of The Week

Junior poured in a career-high 20 points against Florida State

MILWAUKEE – Junior Lizzie Odegard for the Milwaukee women's basketball team has been named the Horizon League Player of the Week, the league office announced Sunday.

The honor is the first for Odegard in her Panther career after being named league's freshman of the week three times during her rookie season.

Going up against one of the top teams in the country in Florida State this past week, Odegard was up to the task. The junior was on fire - connecting from both behind the arc and in the paint, finishing with a career-high 20 points - surpassing her previous best of 14. Odegard also registered four rebounds, three assists and one block in 29 minutes off the bench.

Milwaukee returns to action Friday, Dec. 28, kicking off conference play with the hosting of in-state rival Green Bay at 7 pm from the Klotsche Center.
