MILWAUKEE, Wis. – After spending four seasons in the Brewers' and Angels' system, Milwaukee Baseball alum Mitch Ghelfi has been selected in the Major League Baseball's Rule 5 Draft by the New York Mets Thursday.
 
The former All-Horizon League selection was originally selected in the MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 28^th round in 2015 and has since been with the Brewers and Los Angeles Angels.
 
The Rule 5 Draft has seen a number of successful players be selected such as Johan Santana, Dan Uggla and Roberto Clemente.
 
Ghelfi hit a career .313 while racking up 156 hits, 33 doubles and seven homeruns with the Milwaukee Panthers.
