Ghelfi Selected in MLB's Rule 5 Draft

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – After spending four seasons in the Brewers' and Angels' system, Milwaukee Baseball alum Mitch Ghelfi has been selected in the Major League Baseball's Rule 5 Draft by the New York Mets Thursday.
 
The former All-Horizon League selection was originally selected in the MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 28th round in 2015 and has since been with the Brewers and Los Angeles Angels.
 
The Rule 5 Draft has seen a number of successful players be selected such as Johan Santana, Dan Uggla and Roberto Clemente.
 
Ghelfi hit a career .313 while racking up 156 hits, 33 doubles and seven homeruns with the Milwaukee Panthers.
