MILWAUKEE - Courtney Brown, Jr., of Woodbury, Minnesota and C.J. Wilbourn of Normal, Ill., have both signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Milwaukee men's basketball program next season, head coach
Pat Baldwin announced today.
"We are very excited to add Courtney and C.J. to our Panther family," Baldwin said. "Both of them come from exceptional families and will continue to add to the character we want in our program. They are extremely committed to their academic success, are hard-working, skilled and bring toughness that we want in our culture."
Brown is about to embark on his senior season at East Ridge High School in Woodbury, Minn. He is coming off a junior campaign in which he scored 21.5 points-per-game (537 total) while leading the team to a 21-5 record. That comes off a sophomore season in which he tallied 19.6 a game. He chipped in 10 ppg as a freshman for the Raptors and chose the Panthers over offers from Drake and North Dakota.
"Courtney is an extremely explosive athlete and talented wing that has the potential to be a very good two-way player," Baldwin said. "He comes from a very good high school program at East Ridge and Howard Pulley AAU program that has produced exceptional players. We are excited about Courtney's future."

Wilbourn, a 6-foot-7 forward from Normal Community High School in Normal, Ill., averaged 11.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game last season. He hit 50 percent of his field-goal attempts, which included close to 40 percent from three-point range. He heads into a senior campaign that will be his third as a starter and fourth on the varsity. He added 28 blocks and 1.6 assists-per-game a year ago.
"C.J. is a strong and physical forward that adds a very good shooting touch to his game," Baldwin said. "Similarly, C.J. has played for two well-recognized programs at Normal Community High School and the Quad City Elite AAU program. He's been well coached and understands what it takes to win and be a great teammate. C.J. has a bright future ahead of him."
