Place, Pozolinski continue outstanding seasons

La Crosse, Wis. – Karlie Place continued her record-breaking season in late action Friday at the Eagle Open hosted by UW-La Crosse.

Place broke her own school record in pole vault with yet another win in the event. One week after breaking the conference record and winning a league title, the sophomore from River Falls broke her own school record after clearing 4.06m (13-3 ¾). Place now ranks 32nd in the NCAA West Region, with the field of 48 announced next week.

As a team, Milwaukee has now broken an incredible 14 school records this season, including eight during the outdoor season.

Nate Pozolinski also continued his dominating season on Friday. The junior posted the top 110m hurdle time on the day at 13.88 – just shy of a season best. Pozolinski already ranks sixth in the West Region and an incredible 11th in the entire nation.
