"Overall, there were some very bright spots on the night," Milwaukee head coach Kyle Clements said. "Sam Niesen had a great night and had some quick times and we had Danielle Wenger and Diana Diel and a few others win a pair of events. A meet like this gave us a chance to work on some of the finer points and tune up some things and we accomplished that. It really gave us a chance to look at who will be on the conference team and gave us an opportunity to see some third events for some athletes. It wasn't our greatest meet of the season, but we accomplished what we set out to do."
George broke her own pool record on the one-meter, winning the event with 266.60 points. She was also the top finisher for UWM on the three-meter, placing second with 228.95 points. Lastly, Niespodzany won the 100 free in 53.31 and the 400 free relay team claimed the victory in 3:34.86.
Milwaukee is back in town for the final home meet of the season. Join the team against Western Illinois Jan. 29 for a 1 p.m. meet at the Klotsche Natatorium.
