CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -
Jack Snodgrass allowed one run in six innings to lead Austin Peay State University to a 5-1 victory over the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee baseball team Sunday afternoon at Raymond Hand Park. The Panthers (4-11) could not get the bats going against the Governors (8-9), as they were limited to just four hits on the day.
Snodgrass was very effective and took a no-hitter into the fifth inning. UWM struck for three of its hits in the frame, getting on the scoreboard on an RBI-single from junior Tim Patzman. Senior Shawn Wozniak and sophomore Sam Sivilotti also had doubles in the inning.
Senior Andy Hetebrueg (0-3) allowed five earned runs in 5.0 innings in taking the loss. The big inning hurt the team again today, as the Governors scored four of their five runs in the second inning.
Milwaukee plays its first midweek games next, traveling to play a Wednesday doubleheader at Central Michigan. The Panthers will then enjoy a rare weekend off, returning to action March 24 at Northern Iowa.
