Schoneman, Ganser Claim Title At IPFW

FT. WAYNE, Ind. - Ashley Schoneman and Beth Ganser won the championship of the Flight Four Doubles draw to highlight day two of the IPFW Women's Tennis Invitational Saturday for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

The Panthers also saw Sammi Schoen and Brittany Skemp fall in the championship match of Flight Two Doubles, while Kelly Drvaric and Kari Kastenholz claimed the consolation title in the top flight of doubles competition.

Schoneman and Ganser rolled past their competition in a round-robin format. The duo claimed a pair of 8-4 victories sandwiched around an 8-0 win.

Meanwhile, Drvaric and Kastenholz claimed an 8-5 win over a tandem from Green Bay in their Saturday action, and Schoen and Skemp fell, 8-3, against a duo from Detroit.

UWM returns to action at the Western Illinois Invitational next weekend.
